The Rudraprayag district administration has significantly enhanced safety measures for the ongoing Kedarnath Yatra, deploying over 90 cameras and establishing 24/7 control rooms. District Magistrate Vishal Mishra stated that a control room at the district office is monitoring the entire Yatra route, while a dedicated command center is operational at Shri Kedarnath Dham. Continuous announcements are made to guide pilgrims on safety protocols. The administration has urged devotees to comply with instructions for a smooth pilgrimage experience. This year's Yatra has seen a remarkable influx of devotees, reflecting strong spiritual engagement, as the Char Dham Yatra commenced on April 19 with traditional rituals. The pilgrimage's ceremonial start involved the departure of the Panchmukhi palanquin of Lord Kedarnath from its winter seat at Omkareshwar Temple.
