Phil Salt, the England wicketkeeper-batter for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), will not participate in the IPL 2026 match against Gujarat Titans due to an injury. RCB captain Rajat Patidar confirmed that Jacob Bethell has been included in the playing XI as Salt's replacement. Salt has been a key player for RCB this season, scoring 202 runs in six matches, including two half-centuries. His last performance was a strong 63 runs against Delhi Capitals. Bethell, who made his IPL debut in 2025, last played for England in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 semifinal, where he scored 105 runs. In the ongoing IPL season, he has scored 67 runs in two matches. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans have also made changes to their lineup, bringing in Jason Holder and Manav Suthar for Glenn Phillips and Ashok Sharma. The match is taking place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
