In a tragic event on Monday, M. Ramulamma, a 45-year-old daily wage worker, was mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs in SC Colony, Chatakonda Gram Panchayat, located in the Bhadradri Kothagudem district of Telangana, India. The attack occurred around 11 a.m. as Ramulamma was returning home from her farm work. Four aggressive stray dogs attacked her, dragging her to the ground and inflicting multiple severe bite wounds to her face and head. Although two passersby attempted to rescue her by scaring off the dogs, she was critically injured and later succumbed to her wounds at a hospital in Kothagudem. Ramulamma was the sole breadwinner for her impoverished family, which includes five children, leaving them devastated by her sudden death. This incident has highlighted the ongoing issue of stray dog attacks in Chatakonda and surrounding areas, prompting calls for local authorities to take action against the growing stray dog menace.
