The recall, announced by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on May 14, involves ZWILLING J. A. Henckels Aktiengesellschaft's Enfinigy Kettle and Enfinigy Kettle Pro models. Reports indicate that the kettle handles can detach, leading to spills of hot water and potential burns, including a documented case of a second-degree burn. The affected kettles can be identified by model numbers 53101-200, 53101-201, and several others for the Kettle Pro variant. These kettles were available in various colors, including black, silver, rose gold, and white, and were sold from December 2019 to February 2026 at prices between $120 and $200. Consumers are urged to stop using the kettles immediately and to contact the brand for a full refund. Instructions for safe disposal include unplugging the kettle and cutting the cord before disposal. A representative from Costco has not yet commented on the recall.
