She gained significant online support by documenting her supposed struggle, but doubts arose when followers began sharing images of her luxurious lifestyle, which included expensive cars and a new apartment. Following an investigation, it was revealed that medical records did not support her claims of undergoing cancer treatment. In a Facebook post, Fouad confessed to the scam, attributing her actions to a need for attention and stating that she is seeking psychiatric help. Her actual medical issues were reportedly limited to non-cancerous gynaecological conditions. This case highlights the potential for social media to be exploited for financial gain, raising questions about trust and accountability among influencers.
