An 11-year-old boy, Divyansh, died after being subjected to horrific abuse at the Ramanuj Bhagwat Ved Vidyapeeth Gurukul in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. The operator, Saurabh Mishra, 27, was arrested along with his associate, Harshita Soni, 23, for their roles in the abuse and subsequent cover-up. Police reported that Divyansh was stripped, forced to stand barefoot in the sun, and denied food over three days. Mishra allegedly admitted to beating the boy with slaps, kicks, and a stick until he lost consciousness. After the boy's death, the two attempted to destroy evidence by smashing CCTV cameras and fleeing with the body to Kanpur, where it was left outside Divyansh's family home. Investigators found 40 to 45 injury marks on the boy's body, raising concerns about possible abuse of other children at the gurukul. The incident has drawn public outrage, with local officials condemning the actions as heinous.
