On Friday, T C Gupta, Chief Commissioner of the Haryana Right to Service Commission, presented the annual report for 2025-26 in Chandigarh. The commission is dedicated to ensuring that government services are transparent, accountable, and delivered within a specified timeframe. To enhance citizen engagement, the commission launched the Auto Appeal System WhatsApp Chatbot and the AAS mobile application, which allow citizens to file appeals, track their status, and access information about government services easily. The initiative, dubbed 'Services at Your Fingertips, Anytime, Anywhere,' aims to simplify the process and provide quick assistance through digital platforms. Citizens can interact with the WhatsApp Chatbot by sending messages to 6239466937. In the past year, the commission recommended warnings for six IAS officers for not adequately addressing citizen appeals regarding essential services like solid waste management and birth certificate issuance. The Haryana Right to Service Act, enacted in 2014, seeks to ensure that services are delivered promptly to prevent unnecessary delays and repeated visits to government offices.
