The Punjab Government has announced a significant reshuffle within the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre, aimed at enhancing administrative efficiency. Chief Secretary K A P Sinha issued the orders, which involve reallocating key responsibilities among senior officers. Manvesh Singh Sidhu, a 2004 batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new Managing Director of the Punjab Infrastructure Development Board (PIDB), succeeding Girish Dayalan, who has been moved to the role of Special Secretary for Jails. Additionally, Sanyam Aggarwal, currently the Special Secretary for Health, will now also serve as the Registrar of Cooperative Societies and Managing Director of The Punjab State Cooperative Bank.
