Kollam district in Kerala has reported a commendable pass percentage of 78.79% in the second-year Higher Secondary (Plus Two) examinations, with 19,805 out of 25,137 students qualifying for higher education. This year saw 2,506 students achieving an ‘A Plus’ grade across all subjects, reflecting a strong academic performance. In the Open School category, the district recorded a pass rate of 47%, with 321 of the 683 candidates qualifying for further studies, and 11 of these students secured an ‘A Plus’ in all subjects. The Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) section also performed well, achieving a pass percentage of 77.76%. Out of 3,454 students who appeared for the VHSE examinations, 2,686 qualified for higher education. Notably, the J.F. Kennedy Memorial VHSS in Karunagappally achieved a remarkable 100% success rate, with every student passing the examination. These results highlight the educational progress in the region and the dedication of both students and educators.
