The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has dismissed allegations of its On-Screen Marking (OSM) portal being compromised. The board clarified that the URL in question is a testing site and not the actual evaluation portal, which remains secure.

In a statement on X, CBSE clarified that the URL cited in these claims, http://cbse.onmarks.co.in, is a testing site used solely for internal purposes and does not host any actual evaluation data. The board assured that the evaluation portal remains secure and has not been compromised or shown any vulnerabilities. CBSE highlighted the implementation of strong grievance redressal mechanisms to enhance transparency in assessments. In related updates, the board reported receiving 404,319 applications for scanned copies of answer books, with 11,31,961 answer books requested and 8,98,214 provided digitally to students. Furthermore, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has directed technical experts from the Indian Institutes of Technology in Madras and Kanpur to assist in ensuring a smooth re-evaluation process.
