Michael Ostrowski is one of the presenters of the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 which is being held in Austria. The 53-year-old is hosting the final of the 70th anniversary of the annual event on Saturday (May 16). This year’s Eurovision is being held live from the Wiener Stadthalle arena in Vienna. Austria is hosting the event for the third time in their history after singer JJ won the 2025 competition, with his song Wasted Love, which narrowly beat Israel’s Yuval Raphael. This year’s Eurovision had made headlines due to Ireland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Slovenia and Spain choosing not to compete in protest against Israel's inclusion. Victoria also hosts Let’s Dance, the German version of Strictly Come Dancing, and an international version of Britain's Got Talent, titled. Das Supertalent. Austria's national public broadcaster’s ORF programme director Stefanie Groiss-Horowitz said in a statement: "Our goal is to thrill an international audience from all over the world with a sensational TV experience. “We developed a concept and then searched for the right hosts – and we found them! Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski are an exciting and unique pair. “Both with great passion for the Contest and two excellent ambassadors for the cause, who will be remembered for a long time with their performance." Michael is an actor and screenwriter who has appeared in over 40 films throughout his illustrious career . Prior to becoming an actor, he worked as a research fellow, a helpful skill to have in the industry. Cast in his first role in a short film in 2001, Michael changed his name from Michael Stockinger when he started to pick up momentum. This was due to there already being a cabaret performer with the same name. Michael went on to work on projects such as Dark Rivers, The Hawk and Contact High. Additionally, he starred in the 2004 comedy-drama Nacktschnecken. Back in 2011, he won the Austrian film award for best script for his comedy film The Unintentional Kidnapping of Mrs. Elfriede Ott. This was the Austrian equivalent of winning a Bafta in the UK. Judging off the semi-finals held earlier in the week, it appears that Michael and Victoria have good chemistry together. One fun moment saw them showing off the different languages they’re able to speak.
