The original model measures 3.9-4.2mm when unfolded and 12mm when folded. The expected reduction in thickness is attributed to a new hinge mechanism that Samsung is developing. This innovative hinge may not only benefit the TriFold 2 but could also be utilized in other upcoming single-folding Samsung smartphones.
