India and Nepal have taken significant steps to strengthen their bilateral relations, particularly through the recent completion of the Mutual Legal Assistance Agreement (MLAA) aimed at combating cross-border crimes. The MLAA provides a legal framework for enhanced cooperation in investigation and prosecution between the two nations. During the visit of Nepal's Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal, both countries also discussed advancements in health, innovation, and payment systems, including the launch of a Peer-to-Peer linkage between India's Unified Payments Interface and Nepal's National Payments Interface. Meanwhile, a review of the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM) revealed that funds meant for women's self-help groups were often diverted to household expenses. Additionally, under Project Glasswing, key Indian cybersecurity agencies have gained access to Anthropic's Claude Mythos AI model, aimed at identifying vulnerabilities in critical infrastructure. This development occurs against the backdrop of India's evolving trade relations, particularly with Oman, following the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement.
