Colin White, who was once the Ohio Mr. Basketball from Ottawa-Glandorf High School, has decided to transfer from Ohio State University to the University of Akron. During his time with the Buckeyes, White struggled to find significant playing time, averaging only 8.7 minutes per game and contributing 0.9 points, 1.0 rebounds, and 0.4 assists last season. He joins several other players, including Devin Royal and Taison Chatman, who have also entered the transfer portal this offseason as Ohio State works to revamp its roster. White will have two years of eligibility left and hopes to make a more substantial impact in the Mid-American Conference starting in the 2026-27 season.
