Rao Narender Singh, the president of the Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC), publicly criticized the Haryana government for its handling of law and order following an attempted break-in at his ancestral residence in Narnaul. Speaking to reporters in Jhajjar during the Brijendra Singh Sadbhav Yatra, Singh expressed grave concerns about the state's deteriorating security situation, stating that if armed miscreants can target a political leader's home, the safety of ordinary citizens is equally compromised. He reported a surge in serious crimes in Haryana, which he claimed creates an atmosphere of fear among the populace. Singh demanded immediate measures to restore law and order, warning that the Congress party would initiate statewide protests if the situation does not improve. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, the former chief minister and leader of the opposition, echoed these sentiments, describing the break-in attempt as shocking and indicative of the state's declining security. He called for a thorough investigation into the incident and urged the government to take swift action against those responsible, as well as to enhance security for Singh and his family.
