Manav Suthar, a 23-year-old left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder from Rajasthan, has achieved his dream of being selected for the Indian Test team for the one-off match against Afghanistan. His journey began in the streets, where he honed his skills before joining a cricket academy at age 11. Despite facing discouragement from those who advised him to focus on academics, Suthar remained dedicated to cricket, citing his family's support as a crucial factor in his success. He has excelled in domestic cricket, notably taking 39 wickets in the 2022-23 Ranji Trophy and achieving a remarkable 8 for 42 against Chhattisgarh in the 2025-26 season. Suthar has also played for India A and made his IPL debut in 2024.
