The St. Petersburg Technology Park is poised for significant growth by 2027, with plans to develop new operational areas, as announced by Alexander Sitov, the Chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovations, and Trade. During an interview at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Sitov highlighted that the park will focus on two primary sectors: radio electronics and unmanned aerial systems. The first area has already been partially introduced, indicating progress in the park's development. Furthermore, the technology park will undergo an official relocation in the fall of 2023, with its area expanding by 2.5 times. This substantial increase in space is intended to facilitate the effective placement of existing equipment while also allowing for the introduction of new technologies. Sitov emphasized that this expansion is crucial for enhancing the park's capacity to foster innovation and support technological advancements in the region, ultimately positioning St. Petersburg as a hub for cutting-edge technology.
