In Subnautica 2, players must acquire various Adaptations to thrive in the alien underwater world of Alterra. There are currently four known Adaptations obtained from Angel Combs, which resemble large purple jellyfish. The first, Pressure Tolerance, is introduced during the tutorial, allowing players to swim underwater for 45 seconds. The second, Digestion, enables the consumption of aquatic life and can be found 30 degrees Northeast of the Lifepod, near a giant tree. To gain Heat Tolerance, players must clear infections from an Angel Comb located 300 degrees Northwest using a Sonic Resonator. Finally, Axum Vision allows interaction with alien technology and requires players to navigate to a wreckage site 1800 meters East from their base, clearing three infection nodes along the way. These Adaptations are essential for exploring deeper parts of the ocean and progressing through the game.
