Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that India's dairy sector has transformed significantly since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took office in 2014, with milk production soaring by 70% from 143 million tonnes to 248 million tonnes over the past decade. He noted that nearly 50% of this growth occurred in the last five years, with per capita milk availability rising from 307 grams per day in 2014 to 485 grams currently.
