Axis Bank experienced a 0.64% decline in standalone net profit for Q4 FY26, totaling ₹7,071.31 crore, compared to ₹7,117.50 crore in the same quarter last year. Despite this dip, the bank's total income rose by 1.90% year-on-year to ₹38,746.64 crore. The net interest income (NII) also saw a positive trend, increasing by 5% to ₹14,457 crore, with a Net Interest Margin (NIM) of 3.62%. The bank's total deposits surged by 14% to ₹13,35,834 crore, while advances grew by 19% to ₹12,33,570 crore, with retail loans constituting 55% of net advances. To bolster its balance sheet amid economic uncertainties, Axis Bank made a one-time additional provision of ₹2,001 crore. The bank's Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPA) ratio improved to 1.23%, down from 1.40% in the previous quarter. The board has proposed a final dividend of ₹1 per equity share, subject to approval. Additionally, plans to raise up to ₹55,000 crore through various instruments have been approved, indicating a strategic focus on growth and resilience.
