A female employee at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Nashik, Maharashtra, has come forward with serious allegations of sexual harassment and forced religious conversion against several male colleagues. She reported being subjected to lewd comments and inappropriate physical contact by her team lead, Raza Menon, and another colleague, Asif Ansari. The victim, who joined TCS shortly after her marriage, described a hostile work environment where she faced taunts and harassment, including being nicknamed 'Player' and receiving unsolicited personal inquiries. Following her complaints, a Special Investigation Team of the Nashik police arrested eight individuals, including a woman operations manager, and registered nine FIRs. TCS has emphasized its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment and has suspended the employees involved. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed concern over the allegations, describing them as indicative of 'corporate jihad.' The accused have denied the allegations, claiming they are part of a conspiracy due to professional rivalry. TCS has initiated an internal investigation and engaged external entities to oversee the process.
