The Tamil Nadu Class 12 State Board examination results show an overall pass percentage of 95.2%, a slight increase from last year's 95.03%. The results were announced by School Education Secretary B. Chandra Mohan on May 8, 2026, in Chennai. Erode district topped the list with a pass rate of 98.8%, followed by Sivaganga at 98.05%. A total of 7,91,654 students took the exams this year, which is a slight decrease from last year's 7,92,494. Among the candidates, 4.1 lakh were girls with a 97% pass rate, while 3.7 lakh boys had a pass rate of 93.19%. Notably, 2,639 schools achieved a 100% pass rate, including 489 government schools. Private schools led with a pass percentage of 98.72%, while government schools recorded 92.16%. The results can be accessed online, and provisional certificates will be available from May 13. Students can also apply for revaluation from June 5 to June 8, and supplementary exams are scheduled for late June.
