In the recently announced SSLC examination results for 2026, Kozhikode Revenue District in Kerala achieved a pass percentage of 99.36%, slightly lower than the previous year's 99.67%. A total of 43,045 students sat for the exams, with 42,770 qualifying for higher studies. This year, Kozhikode dropped to ninth place among districts, having previously ranked in the top five. The examination pattern was reportedly more challenging, requiring a thorough understanding of textbook material for high scores. The number of students securing A+ grades fell sharply, with 4,114 achieving this distinction compared to 7,410 in the previous year. Girls continued to excel, with 2,711 girls earning A+ grades versus 1,403 boys. GHSS Naduvannur emerged as the leading government school, with all candidates qualifying for further education. Additionally, over 25 government and 35 aided schools in the district achieved a perfect success rate, highlighting the overall educational performance in Kozhikode.
