The Delhi government has approved a significant investment of ₹805.99 crore (approximately $97 million USD) for the construction of a new medical college and hostel complex at the Indira Gandhi Hospital campus in Dwarka. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the institution will offer 250 MBBS seats annually, with the first batch of 150 students expected to start academic activities before the college officially opens in 2028.
