Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh inaugurated the ₹480-crore Naval Systems Manufacturing Facility by Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) in Anakapalli district, Andhra Pradesh, which is set to enhance the Indian Navy's capabilities and contribute to the nation's Blue Economy. The facility, located in T. Sirasapalli village, will focus on developing autonomous underwater vehicles, underwater counter-measure systems, and next-generation torpedoes, thus reducing reliance on imports.
