Coal India, the largest coal producer in India, is scheduled to announce its Q4 results for the financial year ending March 31, 2026, on April 27, 2026. Analysts predict a 16% decline in net profit to ₹8,063 crore compared to ₹9,604 crore in the same quarter last year. Revenue is also expected to decrease by 0.6%, falling to ₹37,612 crore from ₹37,825 crore. This anticipated downturn is attributed to a 0.8% drop in coal offtake, which is projected to be 199 million tonnes (MT) compared to 201 MT in the previous year. However, there is a sequential growth of 6% in coal offtake from the previous quarter. The company's board will also discuss the final dividend for FY26, pending shareholder approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). Following these forecasts, Coal India's share price has already seen a decline in anticipation of the results.
