The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) is rolling out a new feature under its EPFO 3.0 initiative, allowing subscribers to withdraw their provident fund through ATMs and UPI by mid-2026. This modernization effort, launched in 2025, aims to enhance the digital framework and operational procedures of the EPFO. Subscribers will receive EPF-linked ATM cards, facilitating easy access to funds. There may be a limit on withdrawals, allowing only up to 50% of the PF account balance to ensure savings for emergencies. To utilize these features, members must have an active Universal Account Number (UAN) and linked KYC documents, including Aadhaar and PAN. The EPFO has reported a significant increase in claim settlements, processing 71.11% of advance claims within three days, compared to 59.19% the previous year, indicating improved efficiency and access for members.
