The Bihar government has decided to withdraw the Z-plus security cover for prominent RJD leaders Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi following a comprehensive review of VIP security protocols in the state. This decision, confirmed by officials, also affects Tej Pratap Yadav, the chief of the Janshakti Janta Dal and son of Lalu Prasad, who has lost his Y-category security. The new security arrangement for Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi will be provided by the Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP). Under the revised security measures, they will receive a combination of two to eight house guards from BSAP, two bodyguards from the Patna District Force, and access to a bulletproof vehicle. In contrast, Tejashwi Yadav, the Leader of Opposition, will continue to benefit from his Y-plus security cover. Other family members, including Lalu Prasad's daughter Misa Bharti and Tejashwi Yadav's wife Rajshree Yadav, will maintain their existing security arrangements.
