Kapil, who had just excelled in an interview for a position at the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), and Nalin, who had moved to Delhi in search of better opportunities, were both pursuing promising futures. Their friend Ashutosh, who survived the incident, recounted how the joyous occasion quickly transformed into heartbreak as tons of concrete fell on them. Nalin, originally from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, was preparing for the SSC Junior Engineer examination, while Kapil was focused on his engineering career. The tragedy struck just days before Nalin's birthday on June 2, deepening the sorrow for their families and friends. Nalin's body was discovered in the debris the following morning, underscoring the devastating impact of the collapse on their lives and aspirations.
