Following a busy bank holiday weekend, the National Trust has urged visitors to Carding Mill Valley in Shropshire to be more mindful of littering. The area was left littered with waste, including food packaging, bottles, and dog waste bags, prompting the organization to appeal for greater responsibility among visitors. While the National Trust expressed gratitude for the high turnout and the connection many made with nature, they highlighted the detrimental effects litter can have on the landscape. Volunteers, including members of Shropshire Young Farmers, played a crucial role in clearing the rubbish, and the National Trust thanked them for their efforts. They stressed that everyone can contribute to the protection of the Shropshire Hills by taking small actions, such as taking litter home and disposing of waste properly.
