A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday in the Kandaghat area of Solan district, Himachal Pradesh, India, resulting in the death of a 24-year-old woman named Pooja and serious injuries to four of her family members. The family was traveling on the Kandaghat-Chail link road when the vehicle, driven by Pooja's father, Tota Ram, lost control near Dochi village. The car veered off the road and fell into a gorge, leading to the unfortunate incident. Pooja died at the scene, while her family members, including her father and three others named Sunita, Kaushalya, and Nirmala, sustained serious injuries. Local residents and police quickly responded to the scene, rescuing the injured and transporting them to Civil Hospital in Kandaghat. They were later referred to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla for further treatment. Superintendent of Police Tirumalaraju SD Varma stated that a case has been registered, and an investigation into the accident is currently underway, aiming to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic event.
