A tragic fire incident occurred at Flourish Stay B&B in Malviya Nagar, Delhi, on Wednesday, resulting in the deaths of 21 individuals, including over 15 foreign nationals. Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed his sorrow, stating that the local administration is actively engaged in rescue and relief efforts. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also offered condolences, calling the event heart-wrenching. According to Delhi Police, the fire broke out around 8:48 AM, prompting immediate action from local authorities and fire services, which successfully extinguished the flames with the help of eight fire tenders. More than 40 people were rescued and taken to nearby hospitals for medical care. Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena have assured that all necessary assistance is being provided to the affected families. A thorough investigation into the fire's cause, believed to be a short circuit, is underway.
