The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for Class 12 answer sheet verification and re-evaluation applications to June 7, 2023, due to student complaints regarding access issues on its portal. The previous deadline was June 6. The board stated that this extension is intended to assist students in completing their applications. The online portal for verification opened on June 2, allowing students to report problems with their scanned answer sheets, such as missing pages or incorrect evaluations. Concerns have been raised by some students about the accuracy of the scanned copies, which allegedly did not match their handwriting, leading to questions about the reliability of the on-screen marking (OSM) system. In response to these issues, the Cabinet Secretariat has announced the formation of a one-member committee to investigate the procurement of services related to the OSM system. Students are advised to submit their applications before the new deadline to ensure their concerns are addressed.
