Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), part of the Tata Group and the largest hospitality company in India by market capitalization, is shifting its focus to international markets as its domestic business runs efficiently. MD and CEO Puneet Chhatwal stated that the company is on 'autopilot' domestically, allowing it to explore global opportunities. For the fourth quarter ending March 2026, IHCL reported a 14.7% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit, amounting to ₹645.4 crore, alongside a 14% rise in revenue from operations to ₹2,845 crore. However, total expenses also increased to ₹2,014.9 crore from ₹1,764.2 crore in the previous year. IHCL's international plans include new properties in Frankfurt, Germany, and lodges in South Africa's Kruger National Park, with a preference for management contracts rather than asset purchases. The company aims to build expertise in each market before expanding further, with a total of 250 signings and a portfolio of 630 hotels as of FY26. IHCL holds a strong cash position of ₹4,345 crore with no debt, having invested over ₹1,000 crore in capital expenditures and ₹500 crore in acquisitions during the fiscal year.
