Teena Chaudhry, a Mumbai resident, faced severe traffic congestion caused by a protest led by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Girish Mahajan. Stuck for hours while trying to pick up her daughter from music classes, Chaudhry confronted Mahajan, demanding he address the traffic issue. In a video message, she recounted her frustration, stating she approached multiple police officers for help but received no assistance. Ultimately, Mahajan listened to her and ordered the removal of two buses that were blocking the road, allowing traffic to flow again. The protest was organized against opposition parties regarding the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, 2026, aimed at providing women's reservations in the Lok Sabha elections. Despite a complaint filed against Chaudhry for allegedly using abusive language, police confirmed no formal charges were filed against her. Mahajan acknowledged the inconvenience caused to the public and noted that the situation was resolved peacefully.
