On Tuesday, four ministers will take the oath of office alongside Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam, marking the formation of the third consecutive National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in the state. The ministers include Rameswar Teli and Ajanta Neog from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Atul Bora from the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), and Charan Boro from the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF). The announcement was made by Sarma following a meeting with BJP national president Nitin Nabin in Guwahati. Ranjeet Kumar Dass, a current minister, has been nominated as the NDA's candidate for the Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at Khanapara in Guwahati and is expected to be attended by prominent leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
