Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy (SWREL) saw a significant 142.99% increase in consolidated net profit, reaching ₹134.57 crore in Q4 FY26, compared to ₹55.38 crore in the same quarter last year. Despite this profit surge, the company experienced a 22.76% decline in revenue from operations, totaling ₹1,945.61 crore. The profit before tax also witnessed a substantial rise of 77.70%, amounting to ₹154.11 crore. SWREL's net debt reduced by ₹149 crore during the quarter, and operational EBITDA increased by 53% to ₹444 crore, reflecting improved execution and lender support. However, on a full-year basis, the company reported a consolidated net loss of ₹309.43 crore for FY26, in contrast to a net profit of ₹81.45 crore in FY25. The company’s net sales increased by 19.77% to ₹7,548.05 crore. Chandra Kishore Thakur, the Global CEO, emphasized that FY26 marked a record period for SWREL, showcasing their execution capabilities and a robust order pipeline that includes a 1,182 MWdc project from Coal India. The company is diversifying into wind and battery energy storage systems (BESS), which are expected to contribute significantly to future growth.
