As part of the Andhra Pradesh government’s efforts to address the declining population growth, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday announced financial incentives for families to encourage couples to have more children. Addressing a public gathering in Narsannapeta in Srikakulam district, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister said families would receive Rs 30,000 for the birth of a third child and Rs 40,000 for a fourth child. He added that the government would release detailed guidelines on the scheme within a month. “I have made a new decision.
