Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has praised Sarthak Sidhant, an 18-year-old student, for exposing alleged collusion between the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and COEMPT regarding the on-screen marking system (OSM) for Class 12 exams. Gandhi shared a video of their meeting, highlighting Sidhant's courage and principles, and criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for encouraging youth to focus on trivial pursuits like making social media reels and frying pakodas instead of questioning authority. Following complaints from students about discrepancies in their answer sheets, the CBSE has dismissed two officials involved in the OSM process. However, Gandhi dismissed these actions as superficial and called for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and an independent judicial inquiry into the matter. Sidhant's efforts, which included presenting his findings to a parliamentary panel, have been lauded by Gandhi as a demonstration of true youth power and awareness.
