Central Depository Services Limited (CDSL) has reported a 20% drop in net profit for the fourth quarter of FY26, amounting to ₹80.22 crore, down from ₹100.31 crore in the same quarter last year. This decline occurred despite a 17.1% increase in revenue, which reached ₹262.85 crore, compared to ₹224.49 crore a year earlier. The company's EBITDA rose 6.7% to ₹116.75 crore, but margins narrowed to 44.4% from 48.7%. Total income for the quarter was ₹268 crore, a 5% increase from ₹265 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, though it was 20% lower than the previous quarter's ₹334 crore. CDSL achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 18 crore demat accounts as of March 31, 2026, compared to 15.30 crore a year prior, with approximately 2.71 crore new accounts added during the year. The company’s board declared a final dividend of ₹12.75 per share for FY26. Despite geopolitical tensions and market volatility, management indicated that the core market infrastructure remained stable, fostering investor confidence.
