Vedanta Ltd, a prominent mining company in India, reported a remarkable 89% surge in consolidated profit after tax for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2025-26, amounting to ₹9,352 crore compared to ₹4,961 crore in the same quarter last year. The company's revenue from operations reached a record high of ₹51,524 crore, reflecting a 29% increase from ₹39,789 crore in Q4FY25. For the entire financial year, Vedanta's profit after tax rose 22%, reaching ₹25,096 crore. The company's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (Ebitda) for Q4FY26 also saw a significant increase of 59%, totaling ₹18,447 crore. The full fiscal year Ebitda stood at ₹55,976 crore, marking a 28% rise from FY25. Vedanta's net debt-to-Ebitda ratio improved to 0.95x, the best performance in 14 quarters, down from 1.22x the previous year. CFO Ajay Goel highlighted that this quarter represents a pivotal moment for Vedanta, showcasing its strongest financial performance to date, with all-time highs in revenue, Ebitda, and profit after tax. The company also announced a total shareholder return of 48.6% in FY26, significantly outperforming the Nifty Metal Index. Executive Director Arun Misra stated that FY26 was characterized by strong execution and record operational performance across the company's portfolio.
