This figure surpassed Bloomberg's estimates of ₹1,70,000 crore based on a survey of 16 analysts. The company's profit attributed to owners also showed a robust 16% growth, amounting to ₹17,391 crore. The impressive performance was driven by record production levels in its aluminium and zinc operations, coupled with significant cost efficiencies that brought production costs to multi-year lows. Vedanta's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) surged by 29% to ₹55,976 crore, compared to ₹43,541 crore in the previous fiscal year. Looking ahead, Vedanta plans a major restructuring, set to take effect in May 2026, which will split the company into five independent entities, aiming to unlock value and enhance focus on various business verticals. Following the announcement of these results, Vedanta's shares increased by 4.45% to ₹772.10.
