In a related development, Air India recently unveiled its first retrofitted Boeing 787-8 aircraft, which underwent a significant transformation at Boeing's Modification Center in Victorville, California. The retrofit included a complete reconfiguration from a two-class to a modern three-class layout, featuring new seats and an advanced in-flight entertainment system. This upgrade is part of Air India's initiative to enhance its fleet, with the first retrofit taking approximately 12,825 manhours over 45 days.
