On Sunday, a fire broke out on the Thiruvananthapuram-Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express in Ratlam district, Madhya Pradesh, damaging two coaches but fortunately resulting in no casualties. The incident occurred at approximately 5:15 am in the B-1 coach, which was carrying 68 passengers. The fire also affected the luggage-cum-guard van behind the coach. Railway authorities swiftly acted by switching off the overhead electric supply, and the fire was extinguished shortly after. Passengers were evacuated within 15 minutes, and the affected coach was detached from the train. The train, which had departed Ratlam Junction at 3:45 am, resumed its journey around 9:45 am after accommodating affected passengers in a separate coach.
