The Delhi High Court has referred a plea by Priya Kapur to a roster bench, seeking modification of an April 30 order regarding the estate of late industrialist Sunjay Kapur. The application requests permission to use funds from Kapur's Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) account to cover educational expenses for his children, Samaira and Kiaan, as well as maintenance obligations linked to overseas properties. Senior Advocate Rajiv Nayar argued that the current bank accounts permitted for use under the previous order are insufficient to meet ongoing educational costs. The court noted that Priya Kapur had previously undertaken not to operate the EPF account, indicating a potential conflict with her current request. The application emphasizes that the balances protected under the interim order would remain preserved, and the sought relief is limited to ensuring continuity of educational expenses and related payments during the ongoing proceedings. This includes school and university fees, accommodation, and living expenses abroad, as well as payments for another defendant's overseas school fees.

If approved, the use of EPF funds could ensure that the educational needs of Samaira and Kiaan are met without interruption.
