Key measures include a ban on the registration of new petrol, diesel, or CNG three-wheelers in Delhi-NCR starting January 1, 2027, with a phased introduction of electric three-wheelers in Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddha Nagar by January 1, 2028. The ban will extend to other NCR districts by January 1, 2029. Additionally, the CAQM will enforce restrictions on fuel supply to vehicles without valid Pollution Under Control Certificates (PUCC) across the NCR starting October 1. Furthermore, the CAQM plans to enhance air quality monitoring by adding 46 new stations, bringing the total to 157. In a bid to engage the public, the CAQM has launched the “Clean Air Dialogues” series for discussions on air pollution issues.
