The UAE's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) is enhancing its oversight of the education sector by employing artificial intelligence to monitor advertisements from higher education institutions and training centres. In the first quarter of 2026, the Ministry reviewed 1,976 digital ads and identified 46 that breached approved standards. As a result, corrective measures were implemented, including blocking ads from unlicensed entities, issuing warnings for unaccredited programs, and shutting down one training centre. The Ministry also conducted 72 field inspections, which uncovered 21 violations.
