C. Joseph Vijay was sworn in as the 18th Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu during a ceremony held in Chennai on Sunday morning. The oath of office was administered by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar. Supporters of Vijay's political party, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), celebrated throughout the district, hoping that his leadership would address longstanding issues in the area. The pride in Vijay's victory is amplified by his family's deep-rooted connections to Muthupettai, with his grandfather, S. Senathipathi Pillai, having served as a station master in the region. Locals believe that Vijay's new role could bring much-needed relief to their community.
