Kona Sasidhar, the Secretary of the Andhra Pradesh School Education Department, has firmly rejected claims of manipulation in the Mega District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment drive. Addressing the allegations, he stated that the recruitment, which occurred after a six-year hiatus, was carried out transparently through a computer-based test on the TCS iON platform. Sasidhar emphasized that confusion regarding horizontal reservation rules contributed to the misinformation circulating on social media and in certain media outlets. He assured that there were no procedural deviations or violations during the recruitment process. Meanwhile, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, alleging significant irregularities in the recruitment, including paper leaks and manipulation of merit lists. Reddy has demanded accountability from the government and called for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the allegations.
