Aradhya, a 23-year-old schoolteacher from Chapra district, Bihar, was last seen on the night of April 12, 2023, when she left home with her husband, Deepak Kumar Sah. Her family reported her missing after her phone was switched off, leading to a police investigation. Deepak, who allegedly killed Aradhya to facilitate his remarriage, reportedly strangled her and disposed of her body along the Siwan–Masrakh main road, approximately 15 kilometers from their home. Following her disappearance, Deepak married another woman on April 21. The police have arrested Deepak and an accomplice, Ujjwal Kumar Sah, and are conducting further raids to apprehend others involved. The body was found in a severely decomposed state, prompting a referral for a detailed post-mortem examination in Patna. Investigations are ongoing as authorities seek to uncover more details surrounding this tragic case.
